I was born in Lawton, Oklahoma at Ft. Sill in 1970. As a military family, we moved around the U.S. a lot, until my father retired in Montgomery, AL. I am a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and Alabama State University.

I am married to Dr. Amanda Gonzales-Jackson and have two wonderful children. 

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy mentoring, watching movies, traveling, photography, remote control cars, and video games.
